Masjid Ar-Rahman was informed of the official decision and announcement of the High Judiciary Council of the Two Holy Mosques in Makkah and Madeenah that the moon of the Shawwal has been sighted, we are completing twenty nine (29) days of Ramadhaan (1436 A.H.), in accordance with the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (sal-Allaahu `alayhi wa sallam):
«Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you, then complete thirty days of Sha’baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured to you then fast thirty days», [transmitted by al-Bukhaaree and Muslim].
Subsequently, we shall be celebrating Eid al-Fitr tomorrow, Friday 17th July 2015, inshaa’Allaah.
We will hold the Eid prayer in the Masjid’s Parking lot. Please arrive at 8:30AM as the prayer will begin at 9:00AM SHARP inshaa-Allah. Bring your prayer mats for your convenience, as we shall provide the tarp.
