We have received the official announcement from the High Judiciary Council of the Two Sacred Mosques of Makkah and Madeenah, concerning the commencement of the blessed month. It has been confirmed that the month of Sha‘baan will be completed as twenty-nine (29) days, in accordance with the guidance of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ:

“Fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured from you, then complete thirty days of Sha‘baan. And break your fast when you see the crescent. If it is obscured from you, then complete thirty days.”

Accordingly, we will begin our Taraaweeh prayers tonight (Tuesday, 17th of February) following the ‘Ishaa prayer at 7:06 PM, in preparation for the first fast of Ramadan on Wednesday, 18th of February, in shaa’ Allah.

We ask Allah, the Most High, to allow us to witness this blessed month in good health and strong faith, to assist us in fasting its days and standing in prayer during its nights, and to grant us acceptance of our deeds. Aameen.
