As-salaamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

We praise and thank Allah that He has made us Muslims! Ever since its establishment, Masjid Ar-Rahman Foundation of North Vancouver has been consistent in distributing dates yearly at the beginning of each Ramadan. The dates have been distributed to the regular Masjid attendees, the Muslim community of North Shore and its surrounding area amongst the muslims and non-muslim neighbours, as per the teaching of our Messenger Muhammad salAllahu alayhi wa sal-lam regarding the importance of being mindful of the neighbour and to comfort their hearts, and likewise to our brothers and sisters from Syria, who are now recent residents of Canada. Likewise the recipients of these dates are some of the Masaajid and Musallas and organizations which tread the path of the Qur’an and the Sunnah.

We ask Allah to feed and nourish everyone who made a contribution in sending these dates (from the land of the two sacred sanctuaries-Makkah and Madinah), to feed them from the fruits of Jannah and to accept this ongoing charity annually for those fasting and making iftar in Vancouver. We ask Allah to accept our good deeds and to make us from those whom He frees (from the fire) in this blessed month. Ameen
